Hunger Satiated
I just returned from the cinema at Broadway where I saw The Hunger Games with Hannah, Joe, and Hannah's cousin and brother. We all seemed to enjoy it (though I would urge mom not to go see it - not her cup of tea!).
This morning we all met up in the city and wandered the Rocks and Circular Quay a bit before grabbing brunch at a restaurant called Pancakes on the Rocks. We had a great time chatting and eating some of the many manifestations of their namesake dish. After much deliberation, I settled on the Jaffa Orange pancakes - "Orange segments in grand marnier sauce aside chocolate pancakes with cream and vanilla ice cream. Topped with chocolate sauce and chocolate chips." They were good, but I actually enjoyed the regular pancakes I tried - lesson learned.
After wandering along the waterfront past a massive cruise ship in the process of loading we caught the bus back up toward Newtown to regroup before going to the movie.
The party last night for Abs ended up going quite well. While it was a small group (seven of us), a great time was undoubtedly had by all.
