Summer Days in Winter

Home and watching a bit of British television (which comprises a sizable portion of the tv programme - along with stuff from the US) before bed.

Today I woke up and did some washing before the three of us struck out to Woolies to pick up some provisions for a picnic in Sydney Park.  After grabbing some ham, rolls, and other munchies, we picked up Alice and met up with Amanda and Geri to spend the arvo.  The weather was perfect, a band played the entire time we were there, and hundreds of others were out enjoying the temperatures (mid-60s F) and sun.

As the sun sank, we wrapped things up and headed back to Erko (Erskinville), where Candice and I popped into Bunnings - basically a Home Depot - which was brand new and huge (two stories), to buy some chalkboard paint for a project Candice has been thinking about for some time.  From there we headed back to the house, and Candice and Kylie left to go have dinner with Candice's mum.  Amanda came by around 6:00 to take me to her place for dinner.

Geri and her cooked up a marvelous meal, and we enjoyed chatting and eating.

Now it's time to finish getting ready for the week and head to bed.

Also, I forgot to mention a discovery that I made yesterday at Woolies.  Candice and I were shopping and passed an aisle labeled 'Manchester'.  I asked what was sold there (which Candice found a silly question) - it turns out it is used as a word for bedding and towels.  The more you know.
